This German propaganda movie was part of a U.S. Navy archive compiled during WWII, and acquired by Periscope Film. This film celebrates the German U-boats, and especially the sinking of the British aircraft carrier HMS Courageous by submarine-launched torpedo. Adolf Hitler is seen decorating a U-boat crew. Featured submarines: Type IX (9) U-boats U-38 and U-37.

I would not use this archive again, as they use time code on all the film. Was this their intention that no one else could use the video?
I suggest taking all the videos down because they are useless

There is more on this submarine's previous career on the Collecting History site. She was a top 'scorer' and survived to the end of the war.

sorry but this is the wrong film - it should be "Graf Spee" but is "The bombing of the USS..."
And now it has added it it to the wrong film page ... gets worse and worse lol
